People

At the NTUST there is about 10 000 students. About 2 000 are international students. Some of them (and also some local students and persons which in fact do not study at all) are close to me and these people I would like to introduce in following paragraphs. Most of them are also mentioned in other parts of website as trips etc.

Vera

My girlfriend :) since I returned from China, we are again together. She went to Japan the same time as me, but we can't go together. So hopefully we will go together to some other places. In October, we would like to go to Hsinchu :)

George

This is really a great guy. He is a student who helped us during settle down or whenever we needed some help - especially when we needed a native speaker. He is really friendly, kind and always helps if someone needs it. He has quite similar hobbies as me, what's great. And he also applied for exchange student program in the Czech Republic - what a coincidence, haha :) He really succieded, which is great! Congratulations man, enjoy Pardubice and see you there in February!

Daily

My Chinese friend from city near to Beijing. She is very nice girl, smart and always very kind. Except George, I didn't meet any Chinese/Taiwanese with such a level of English. She teaches me some Chinese too. We were together around Taipei several times. After I returned back from Malaysia, we were together almost every day and it was always a great time :) Unfortunately, she returned back to Xiamen. I already visited her there and it was great! I only hope, I will have chance to see her at least once more :) Looking forward :)

Rosana

One really crazy girl :) always smiling, always happy. I would like to know how she does it! :) She is friendly and kind, but sometimes we have problems with comunication. Even though in the end we always found a way how to explain ourself untill now. She took me on her scooter through Hsinchu, that was my first experience with traffic in Taiwan (as a part of it) ... :D

Michal

Friend from Tainan, also a Czech guy. we were together in Maolin and Malaysia and it was great trips. Pity he returned back to the Czech Republic. We had the same attitude for traveling, so it would be great companion for further exploration of Asian world :) We both agreed Europe is too small for us now, because there are so beautiful places in the World, sometimes even more easy to reach than the so expensive, complexed Europe.

Honza

Honza was a student of NTUT (National Taipei University of Technology) for year and a half and few months ago he left Taiwan for his 2 months long trip back to our country. He is a big traveler, probably the biggest of us all :) He was alone in India, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and others. How I envy him!!! :) Even so we have met him just several months ago, we made several trips together, went to the Sounds of Formosa and others :)

Andrej

My past roommate and a friend from the Czech Republic. He was a student of a faculty of Architecture. His master's degree diploma work , which he did here in Taiwan was Czech Embassy in Taiwan - cool :) He is a big traveler - if someone want to say I am too active, this person should really consider its words, because in comparison with Andrej I am still a lazy guy. That's great of course :) Right now, he is preparing for his wedding with Bara :) Wish you the best!

Blue

This guy is from Philipines and he is really cool. He is a year older and study here as an international student (final year of master's degree) on the department of Industrial Management. He has perfect English, so if I can improve my English from somebody, it will be him. He is really friendly. Unfortunately he doesn't go outside with us too often. Maybe it will change in future :)

Sasha

The very first thing I can imagine if someone say Sasha is at least 4 bowls of food empty on a table of our Chinese roommate, who in fact never arrived. This guy has really bottomless stomach. He eats regularly in 8, 9, 10, .... 23, 0, 1, ... 5, 6 etc :). I hope, he won't eat us in a night when no supplies will be available :) This man also love museums. If someone would like to make an encyclopedia of the museums all around the world, all the references would have only [1] Sasha's head :) He is a Belorussian, however he studies in Hradec Kralove (CZ), so he speaks Czech relatively well. He already returned back to Wienna. The room will never be so full of laugh like before :D

Tereza

The next Czech is from University of Hradec Kralove. I didn't know too much about her long time, just that she is a big party girl. Things changed when we went together to Philippines (viz Gallery). She is interested in traveling, which is not surpising as she study the tourism :) (she will get her bachelor next year). Thanks to this I think we haven't problems to meet our points of interest in Philippines and the trip was great :) Before she left Taiwan, we visited together also Taichung and National Palace museum.

Vincent

One of my Taiwanese friends. I met him when he searched for some students who would be willing to exchange languages - I agreed. So I learn him english and he learns me Chinese. And not only that. Thanks to him I have met 5 other great Taiwanese students. All of them very kind and friendly, all of them became friends of mine. He is the one who took me to Shilin Night Market and introduced me several typical Taiwanese food. And what's more, we attend the same course about electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction! :)

Edward

The first friend Vincent introduced me. During the time, he became my main Chinese teacher. I meet him several times a week and I thanks to him I make big progress :) He was another one who accompanied me to Shilin and spent a lot of money there :D

Joy and Jin

Vincent also introduced me these two girls, his classmates from high school. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of either of them yet, maybe next time. They are both very sympathetic and nice, however a little shy :). Joy also teached me Chinese once, so maybe we will continue with it in future.

Others

There are also other people, which I haven't pleasure to get to know closer yet. So please excuse me if you will find yourself in this section. I hope I will be able to write more about all of these persons soon :)
