Campus

In next paragraphs you can find a description of our campus. Most of the parts I still didn't use or only a few times, so the description will be only rough.

Dormitory rooms

Dormitories are a little different from the Czech one. These dormitories rather look like a big hostel. The rooms are for 5 or 6 persons. Every person has his "box", where he lives. There is a desk, drawer, several benches and a closet. The bed is over the closet. Except this, every room has its own balcony, lamp and air-conditioning. We are lucky, because the 5th guy (we are in the room for 5) from China didn't arrive, so we have a little more space. Sasha made from it his private kitchen :)

Dormitory restrooms

Each floor has several restrooms, which means showers (about ten for a floor), space for laundry and face hygiene and toilettes. The last one is a little special. If you don't believe, just look to the left. These toilettes are everywhere, not only on our campus. They are in the MRT, in hotels, parks etc. Fortunately everywhere is at least one European-like toilette beside these "whatever it supposes to be". I never tried, however I suppose a great skill is needed to aim well into this ... :D

Dormitory basement

In our dormitory (and I suppose in the other also) is a public room in the basement. There are several tables, sofas and 3 large LCD televisions. This place is also the only one allowed to other gender. All dormitories here are unisex and violators convinced by camera are punished. So this is the only place we can meet with girls, except in the campus park, classrooms or outside the campus. I don't spend too much time here. I am going there only for my Chinese lessons (I have my personal teachers of Chinese, great guys!) and when I want to read a book.

Classrooms

All classrooms and halls are equipped with the most modern equipment including audiovisual technique and very comfortable chairs. The equipment for students vary a little, however everywhere the equipment is several levels higher than in Czech republic. The textbooks and all the personal equipment, however, has to be bought. The library doesn't offer textbooks for students. Very pleasant custom also is the lecturers don't take care if somebody is eating and drinking in classrooms or if he/she needs to go to the toilette during class.

University cantina

We have 3 cantinas here and also 2 restaurants including Mos Burger. They are located on the right and left of the main gate and they are usually called according the shop which is in there. The cantina on the right is Seven-eleven, there is a 24/7 Seven-eleven store inside and also a bakery, which works from Monday to Friday. On the left there are two cantinas. One, on the ground level, is very small and there is a restaurant and Mos Burger on the same floor. Just under it, there is a Family-mart cantina. I usually attend this one, because it is the closest and also the largest with most line. The food is great in comparison with Czech cantinas, however still poor in comparison with real restaurants here - the Chinese food is wonderful! :)

Sport facilities

We have really big scale of sport facilities here. There are 3 basketball courts, 3 tennis courts, 4 volleyball courts, football court, athletic circuit, area for petangue and inside you can find fitness and covered swimming pool. All sport facilities are for free, sport equipment can be borrowed from the staff. The facilities are always occupied, but it is not a big problem to join to Taiwanese guys, they let you join willingly. The most famous is obviously basketball (boys) and volleyball (both, but rather girls).

Other

Except this, there is a huge library and a post office just inside our campus. All the campus offers places to hide in small parks or sit in tables on the ground level or on the open balconies of different buildings. The only animal inhabitants excluding insects and bugs are squirrels, which can be seen in the central park in the middle of the campus just behind the president's building.
